The Backpack Buddy Program is running again in Room 2 at St. John’s Lutheran Church!
CLICK HERE to access the Volunteer Sign-up Genius where you can volunteer for a quick 1 to 1.5 hour commitment help pack food or drive the totes of food to Sanford Elementary School, Headstart program. We are excited to give a backpack filled with food provided by the Midland County Emergency Food Pantry Network to children who have limited access to food during weekends.
- Distribution takes place every other week on Wednesdays at 9:30 am
- We will be packing food into 60 plastic bags, two each for about 30 children
- Drop off at the school in Sanford has developed a process that allows us to back up to the gym door and they will bring cart and offload our cars so that we do not have to enter the school
