St. John’s before and after school care has been established to assist parents in meeting the growth and developmental needs of their children. In addition to providing parents with a safe and nurturing Christian environment for their children, the program provides students with meaningful personal relationships with children and adults who truly are interested in their mental and physical well-being. We are very flexible and will work to meet the needs of all parents; you can opt for one day a week or all five.
Our “before school care” program is available for students in preschool through grade 8. The program is in operation Monday through Friday from 6:30-7:30 am, when the students are released to their teacher’s care. Time before school is divided between free play and reading or homework.
Our “after school care” program is available for students in preschool through grade 8. The program is in operation Monday through Friday from 3:00-5:30 pm. Children have the option of purchasing a snack or eating a snack they brought along. During nice weather, children will go outside to play on the playground. For inclement weather, children may go to play in the gym. There are also a variety of games and activities for the children to play. Students may also read or complete homework.
There is an additional hourly fee for this service. All of our extended care programs are in operation only on regularly-scheduled school days and are not open if school is cancelled due to weather.
