CHURCH BANNER TEAM

Another opportunity for those with an artistic talent is the design and construction of hanging banners for the church.  Quilting experience is very helpful but not mandatory.  Please contact Brigitte Glaser at 989-832-4417 if you’d like to join us.

ALTAR GUILD

This small group of volunteers works together to keep the altar appropriately robed in the church seasons’ paraments and decorated for the holidays, prepared for communion; and also keeps the pew racks clean and ready for worship.  It’s a wonderful opportunity for mothers and daughters or granddaughters to work together!

FRIEND TO FRIEND

Friend to Friend provides ready-to-heat meals for families after illness, childbirth, or emergencies.  We have a team of volunteers who prepare safe and nutritious meals and freeze them until the time they are needed and delivered.  This program is being led by Kristen Martin.  Please call the church office if you or someone you know might be in need of meals during a difficult time.

FUNERAL DINNER TEAM

St. John’s offers a funeral luncheon for families holding funeral services at the church.  Menus are planned with the families and are prepared, served and cleared by the funeral team.  Please contact Cheryl Zastrow at 989-239-3919 to being added to the volunteer list; you will be contacted when the need arises and you may offer to help as your schedule permits.  NOTE:  Men are also welcome to serve on this team!
