Funding Sources

  • St. John’s congregation tithes 10% of their annual budget
  • “Missions” offering envelopes (yellow stripe on top) or individual contributions
  • Door offerings when missionaries visit SJL

Disbursement of Mission Funds

The Mission Team meets in May each year after the congregational treasurer has forecasted the upcoming fiscal year’s budget.  The team evaluates previous mission areas of support and possible new missions to decide the recipients for the upcoming fiscal year.
