WHAT is the SCRIP Gift Card Program?

SCRIP is simply a word that means “substitute money” – in other words, SCRIP is gift certificates from national and local retailers
Each gift card has a rebate percentage that goes directly to your organization upon purchase, varying between 1% & 15%
Many of the same gift cards you see in stores; CLICK HERE to see a list of top brands available for purchase
You can purchase to give to others OR you can use on your own spending; increments vary by vendor ($5, $10, $20, $25, $50, $100)
SCRIP can be used for just about any household purchase including food, clothing, entertainment, gasoline and even dining out
Over 350 brands are available immediately with eCards, and over 150 are reloadable to add funds when needed

Rebates (FREE MONEY) are transferred 4 times a year into an SJL student account
75% of the rebates may be allocated towards a SJL student’s tuition, before and after school care and other activity fees (could be your own child, grandchild, or someone just you know)
In the 2019-20 school year, the total earned in rebates by just 20 families was $3941.93 of FREE MONEY
25% of the rebates goes into the “SCRIP” General Fund and is used for non-budgeted items for our school
Donations from the SCRIP General Fund have been used in the past for purchasing the SJ Mascot costume, donations towards the exhaust fans in the Science Room, air conditioners for the classrooms, and kitchen equipment upgrades
If your child is not enrolled at St. John’s yet —- you can open a FUTURE FAMILY account and it will be kept in your account until your child starts school / preschool
Profits may also be allocated towards Women of St. John’s or Lydia Guild

Purchase instantly from “TO GO” box in person at SJL on Thursdays from 8-10 am in the lounge
- Many gift cards are available for immediate pick-up from our “SCRIP TO GO” box, others must be ordered
- SCRIP cards which require ordering must be requested by Monday morning at 9:00 am for delivery or pickup on Thursday
- If possible, please send an email to ’cheryl.z@live.com or text to 989-239-3919 and your orders will be ready for pick up
- Orders placed by school families may be sent home in your child’s “folder to go home” or put in their backpack (request this when ordering)
- Pay for your order with cash or personal check made out to “St. John’s SCRIP”
SCRIP TO GO is also sold in the SJL lounge on the 2^nd and 4^th Sundays of the month after both church services
ORDER ONLINE at ‘www.shopwithscrip.com and pay with “Prestopay”
- orders placed by 9:00 am on Monday will be available for pickup or delivery on Thursday morning
