At SJL this weekend, Pastor Kempin reminds us to face all things with FAITH.  We need to spiritually prepare for life.  God is in control.  Prayer still works.  God still speaks to us through His Word, others, and even disasters.  God’s plan has been and still is for salvation.

God is the One who guarantees to reward our faith in Him with abundance.  Jesus doesn’t want or need your money.  He wants you to trust Him with your money because He wants you to trust Him with everything. 

Jesus said, “I am the Light of the World.”  He also said that we are the light of the world.  He made both statements.  Jesus is the Source and we are the Light.  I am the vine and you are the branches.  They are connected.  The vine and the branch are one. Not, the gospel is…

How important is it for us to be united in thought, word, and actions in the Church?  Pastor Kempin reminds us that Christianity is a team sport.  God has brought us together so that we do not have to do this (life) alone.

This week, Pastor Kempin told me that the Lord has accepted me even though I didn’t really deserve it.  Now, I should extend His invitation to others.

Pastor Kempin prepares us for the coming of the KING as we anticipate celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ this week.

Isaiah 11:1-10: At SJL this weekend, Pastor Kempin taught us that even the Old Testament message prepared people for the profoundly powerful speaking of Jesus that would unite and bring peace.  Am I living in a way that helps bring peace to others?  Am I living in the way Christ taught?
