The Day of the Lord (our judgment). Do we look forward to it or agonize over it? It is described as a day that includes violence and judgment. Can I stand up to my judgment? What have I done that could be held against me? What will save me from my past? My sins? My lack of goodness? How can I look at the Day of the Lord with happiness and positive anticipation? The answer is Jesus!!
We can look to that day with joy and happiness because Jesus took our place! We have been judged as guilty, sinners, bad, and unworthy, but Jesus took it all upon himself. Because of Christ’s death and resurrection, and because that is God’s plan for our salvation, we have the assurance that we are saved from eternal death! We are given the GIFT of eternal life. Salvation through Jesus!!
