Girls in grades 1-8 combine their voices to cheer for St. John’s JV & Varsity Basketball home games during the months of January and February 2024. The team will also perform a pom-dance routine during half-time of a home games, to the tune of “Twists & Turns“. The cheer team is coached by Mrs. Jan Sleight.
In addition, the cheer team brought spirit to the school in a number of other ways:
- decorating lockers for all athletes
- creating a spirit wall for basketball season with the theme “Twists & Turns”
- leading an all-school pep assembly
- leading the crowd in the school fight song before all home games
- Leading the school in a chapel service
- performing at a league
